The Advertising Maze

This is my second hub on Advertising, on my first one we discuss what advertising is and what it can do for you.

A few of the questions that we answered on the first lens...

What is advertising and how can it help us not get lost in the maze of information out there on advertising?

Isn’t it true that if more people know about your products the better chance that you’ll benefit from them?

The main purpose of this hub is to show you, in a more detail view, what advertising can do for you!

Product Advertising

Let’s start out with a product – any product – at this point it doesn’t really matter…

Product A – let’s say that Product A is a product that you made and have put a lot of time and energy into making Product A.  You have done your research and know that Product A is in need – in other words – If enough people know of your product then you are sure that they will purchase it.  So you know the benefits of using Product A.

Product A is in high demand.

High Demand Advertising

Most products that are in high demand already before they are even release. How do the manufactures decide what to build?

Manufactures spend millions and millions of dollars on research to find the perfect solution to a demand!  They ask if the demand is there for a product – what features it needs to have – how much people are willing to spend on a product. Etc.

Since most of us don’t have millions and millions of dollars in our bank account, let’s look at some alternatives.

Word of Mouth Advertising

To make sure that you’re not just bias about Product A, you decide to tell your friends and family about it.

This is probably the lowest level of advertising there is. But it is effective; word of mouth can make or break a product when it’s first starting out. But it also has a lot of power if it’s a good or bad product and can spread like wild fire. There is just one problem with word of mouth it’s localized.

The internet has affected the word of mouth type of advertising to some extent and has extended it through emails, but it’s still not the best form of advertising that you can get.

Free Advertising

Free Advertising is not the best way either but it does have some benefits.

First, It’s Free, you can’t argue too much about the price.  The problems with free advertising are that most of the advertising is not directed to your group of people that you are looking for. In other words, a farmer looking for a tractor is not interested in Product A. He may see your free advertisement but it really doesn’t interest him because he’s not looking for Product A.

Paid Advertising

This is the best advertising for Product A. It’s directed to your target audience and you have a better chance of selling your product!

We want to provide for the people, Product A, so that they can benefit from it as much as you have. If they buy our product we provide a service and make a profit and that what we want as well is a profit from our hard work with Product A.

Ultimate Advertising

Ladies and Gentlemen: this is what we are looking for!

We need the Ultimate Advertising to promote our products and make a profit.
